Who We Are
Impulse for development is an organization for the development and realization of projects in emerging and developing countries. Together with our partners, we identify, structure and finance projects with positive impact to our focused regions and countries. Our partners are persons, companies, organizations and institutions who care that their financial engagement interacts with positive development impulses.

With Blueorange Development Partner GmbH, a well known German urban development & investment company, we have a strong partner on our side, with vast experiences in project development and project realization, integrated in a large organization of banks and investment entities. In partnership with local and international experts, companies and institutions, we carry out impact investment projects in our partner regions to achieve social, ecological and economical impulses.
Impact investment is needed to meet the global challenges that we face today. Impact investing is a way of investing with the intention of generating positive, measurable social and environmental impacts alongside a financial return. It helps to address social and environmental issues like climate change, hunger, and poverty.

Main objective of the tourism development program is to generate positive impulses to our partner regions by implementation of sustainable small and midsize projects.
Local income by project preparation, realization and operation (e.g. one “Nature Lodge Project” will produce long-term secured household income for several local families).
Education in project development, building, operation and tourism services. Multiplication impulse by stimulating tourism connected business (e.g. production of goods, local supply, tourism related services, etc.)

Deep in the Brazilian Amazon, along the black waters of the Negro River, distance is not measured in kilometers but in what it takes to cross them. For the indigenous and riverside communities scattered across this region, the nearest hospital, the nearest voice, the nearest help can be days away — if it's reachable at all. It's here that Impulse 4 Development has built one of its most enduring partnerships, working alongside a local NGO to close that distance, one project at a time.
Located in northeastern Brazil, the state of Bahia is known for its cultural history, Atlantic coastline, and remnants of the Atlantic Forest biome — one of the world’s most biodiverse and threatened ecosystems. In southern Bahia, cocoa cultivation has long been integrated into the forest landscape through traditional agroforestry systems known as cabruca, where cacao trees grow beneath a native forest canopy.
Located approximately 350 km southwest of São Paulo, PETAR (Parque Estadual Turístico do Alto Ribeira) is one of Brazil’s most significant protected rainforest regions. Known for its extensive cave systems — each with distinctive geological and ecological characteristics — PETAR offers a rare intersection of biodiversity, scientific research, and carefully managed adventure tourism.
Santo Antônio is a small fishing village in the district of Diogo, municipality of Mata de São João, on Bahia's Costa dos Coqueiros — the stretch of coast running north from Salvador that also includes Praia do Forte and Imbassaí. Around 200 people live in the village. Its houses sit along sand streets a short walk from the beach, with no paved road running through the centre. In 2023 we met Luciano Mandelli, an entrepreneur based in the Praia do Forte area, and travelled with him to Santo Antônio to look at whether a joint destination-development project was possible there.
